David L. Shane, Of Counsel

13SDRLaw-0056-MDavid L. Shane was born in Huntington Park, CA in November of 1929, and grew up in that area. Mr. Shane graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1947, from Stanford University in 1951 and University of Southern California Law School in 1954. At USC law he received the Order of the Coif award for academic excellence, and was Associate Editor of the USC Law Review. After law school Mr. Shane entered the Marine Corps, and was on active duty from 1954 to 1958. From 1959 until 1985 he served in the active reserve, retiring as a full Colonel in 1985. On release from the Marine Corps, Mr. Shane joined an existing law firm in Van Nuys California, and for many years handled both civil and criminal trials.

Stephen A. DiGiuseppe, Esq.

Mr. DiGiuseppe grew up in the San Fernando Valley and graduated from California State University, Northridge, in 1980, with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Mr. DiGiuseppe obtained his juris doctorate from Loyola Law School in 1984, where he was a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, which has since become the Order of the Coif. He hails from a family of judges, including his late father, the Honorable Joseph J. DiGiuseppe, and his uncle, the Honorable James DiGiuseppe (Ret.). Mr. DiGiuseppe is an experienced trial attorney and has enjoyed excellent trial success. In his over 30 years as an attorney, he is tirelessly dedicated to his clients and their position. He strives at all times to obtain the best result possible for his clients, and usually does. His concentration includes complex real estate, business, probate and personal tort actions. Mr. DiGiuseppe has represented parties on both sides of real property specific performance actions, construction defect claims, land use rights disputes, nondisclosure claims, title insurance claims, unlawful detainer actions, collection actions, lease disputes, bankruptcy matters relating to real estate, personal injury, violation of trust (probate), elder abuse, racial discrimination under Fair Housing, wrongful termination, condemnation actions, real estate broker liability, probate, partnership actions, bad faith insurance claims, boundary disputes, construction defect, writs and appeals, and a multitude of other matters. Richard A. Rodgers, Esq.

13SDRLaw-0024-MRichard A. Rodgers was born May 16, 1951, in Fresno, California, where he grew up and attended Fresno College.

He is highly experienced in the area of real estate and real property law. From 1984, Mr. Rodgers was vice president and sales manager for the largest real estate brokerage company in the Conejo Valley, the Brown Realty Company, Westlake Village, California. Mr. Rodgers earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2000 from the Ventura College of Law, and began his practice that same year.

He is an active adjunct attorney for the California Association of Realtors® Legal Hot Line services.

Mr. Rodgers has considerable and successful experience in a variety of areas, including real property law, landlord-tenant law, civil litigation, business law, corporation law, contracts, trusts, probate matters, and litigation and trials on those matters. He has successfully represented clients in such diverse matters as: Judicial foreclosures and trustee’s sales, partition actions, wrongful foreclosure cases, equitable mortgages, evictions, breach of contract, suits for specific performance of contract, quiet title actions, partition of real property, easements, damages to real property, fraud, conversion, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, defective construction, seller and broker failure to disclose, boundary disputes, nuisance, slope failure, will contests, trust distribution, probate, elder abuse, general business matters, trademark dilution and infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, business torts, corporate entity formation and transactional work. Mr. Rodgers also represents creditors and landlords in litigation in Federal Bankruptcy Court. Mr. Rodgers is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the California State Bar, admitted to practice in all courts in the State of California, and in the United States District Courts of the Central and Northern Districts.

Joseph A. DiGiuseppe, Esq.

Joseph A. DiGiuseppe was born in April 1998 in Burbank, California, and grew up in Ventura County. He attended Chaminade College Preparatory High School before pursuing his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego and Colorado State University. Mr. DiGiuseppe graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He earned his Juris Doctor from Ventura College of Law, graduating with honors near the top of his class, with a certificate of concentration in business law.

Mr. DiGiuseppe comes from a strong legal family legacy. His father, Stephen DiGiuseppe, is a managing partner at Shane, DiGiuseppe & Rodgers LLP. His late grandfather, the Honorable Joseph J. DiGiuseppe, and his great-uncle, the Honorable James DiGiuseppe (Ret.), both served as respected judges.
